Support Group for Blogging

Posted in Uncategorized on January 25, 2008 by brotik

I like to blog about my Dwarf. I tend to stick to what I do in game and just put out tidbits of information about things I do in-game and other stuff that interests me. I find this a decent start and hope that it may grow in time to include whatever reader base I acquire might like to know about. That’s where Blog Azeroth comes in.

It like a 24/7 support group for the people blogging about their favorite past time, Warcraft. If you look at some of the posts though, there is actually a good base of information out there for people that blog about other games. I have already found tons of useful information there and hopefully can implement some of the stuff for some changes for the better on the blog here.

A Night out in Gruul’s Lair.

Yea I know, I just dinged 70 and already I am in a 25 man raid, what was I think…..to explore and see new sites goofball! I had fun though. Got to see many things I never really thought I would get the chance to see. Got to give it to my guild for letting me come along. Now to the good stuff.

Here we are standing at the instance front watching the duels going on and generally just being patient.

Here we are a few minutes after we get started, it all went by so fast!

After our first wipe for fun we do it the right way and smack that butt with only 9 growths I believe, and no I didn’t die the second time.

I had fun, it is a fun event something on par with the Onyxia fight pre-BC. I did learn that I need a lot of gear before I will be of any real use in these runs though so now I am on to getting that done. Here is to hoping I can get my [Master's Key] this weekend.

Ding 70! Now to the real leveling

Posted in Uncategorized on January 23, 2008 by brotik

So yea, now I am finally 70. No more need to stare at the experience bar wondering how long it is going to take to finally reach the next level. I am there, finished, finite, done. So what is next?

Well there is still the leveling of Engineering to do. I am sitting at 350 right now, need quite a few Khorium veins to make it to 360 and then go from there. I still have to make the first Flying Machine so I can fly around in style. I still need to hit exalted with Consortium, I still need to PvP for some gear while I am not raiding …yet!

A lot of stuff still to do. I also need to stock pile some materials and make some money in preparation of WotLK. Like I said, still lots to do.

No time to hit 70

Posted in Uncategorized on January 21, 2008 by brotik

I am fully rested in the experience department to hit 70. A complete load of easy to do quests sitting in the quest log. Plenty of time to play on a cold Sunday night, but what happens?

That’s right, the Giants beat the Packers in overtime to seal their road trip to the Superbowl. I was so excited, logged on, talked to some guildies, then logged off because the excitement was too much to be able to play right.

Maybe tonight level 70 finally comes to this old dwarf.

Alts? No Way!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 21, 2008 by brotik

I have a few guild members that have 3 alts, all level 70 and Kara ready. Me, I am halfway through 69 and still working on GETTING Kara keyed. With my limited play time I have some trouble just getting to 70 and the thought of trying to level a second, or even a third character to 70 boggles my mind.

Now I don’t think any less of people that have a ton of alts. I do have level 70 Warlock on another server that I do not play anymore for the simple reason, Hunters are more fun. Sure there are tons of us but only so few good ones.

As you can see from the screen shot above I am doing pretty decent on my reputations. I still have to get Consortium up and still have plenty yo do for my Engineering to get max so I absolutely have no time for alts. Maybe by the time Wrath of the Lich King comes out I might play with a Death Knight, but we will see.

Having Fun with Frost Trap

Posted in Uncategorized on January 18, 2008 by brotik

As you can see in the picture below, Frost Trap is back! I love trapping as a Hunter. It makes some possible dangerous situations a little easier to handle and can provide some very good crowd control when needed.

I try to practice my trapping and crowd control at different times, like in this picture. I’ll do this and then see how long I can keep 2 different creatures trapped before it becomes too much. It takes a lot of patience and attention to detail to do it for a long time. Next on my list of things to perfect is kiting.

I played a Druid in Everquest and got used to kiting things around then so it might come back to me in World of Warcraft. It is a lot different though as I had a good AOE then and now I am delegated to a few shots to use.

Yea a little off topic but it has to be said. Finally time to shut peoples mouth about how bad my guys are. Even if we lose to Green Bay we made it further than anyone thought we could at the start of the year.

BlizzCast is Live!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 10, 2008 by brotik

You can find the Homepage here. I thought it was an entertaining podcast as it was broken down into two areas, the artwork across all Blizzard platforms and then an interview with Jeff Kaplan over the upcoming 2.4 patch.

As far as the artwork goes, I have always been a fan of Warcraft art since the first Warcraft RTS game. The design put into these characters has always been able to add to the effect of drawing me into the game as well as the lore. If the characters didn’t fit into that lore mold then Warcraft just would not have been as good a game as it was. Samwise Didier is an amazing artist. If you want to check out his artwork then head over to Sons of the Storm and check it out.

As for the interview with Jeff Kaplan, this was a very informative part as a lot more was given out about the new content coming with 2.4 and some very cool things to expect. I am really looking forward to the new content now more than ever just because of some of the lore parts of the content as well and the PvE part as well.
